Stephen Fosu is a Network and Telecommunications Engineer with more than a decade of experience working in both the public and private sectors of Ghana. He a co-founded Step Network, a technology-based company in Ghana, which specializes in building Communications Network/Infrastructure across the country. In recent times, he has been involved in establishing community networks as innovative solutions to address the digital needs of citizens residing in remote communities. He designed and successfully deployed the Samreboi Community Network located in the Western region of Ghana and more recently, the Kuntu Community Network in the Central region. As a Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Stephen has excellent skills in Network Administration using Linux servers, Windows, and Cyber security. He develops Networks that are resilient and secured to guarantee privacy and protection for users. Stephen promotes digital literacy and has been teaching basic digital skills in rural communities.
He will be responsible for planning, designing of the Network, spearhead the deployment and lead the training of the onsite staff. Additionally, he will oversee regular maintenance of the infrastructure. Currently, Stephen is the Head of the Information and Technology Unit at the Presbyterian Hospital in Donkorkrom, a rural community in the Eastern region of Ghana. He is leading the development of technical and innovative solutions to transform the operations of the center. He holds a degree in telecommunications engineering, a high national diploma in computer network management, and additional professional certification from the CCNA.
